Lodging for the 2007 Convention will be at the Millennium Hotel in Cincinnati which is connected to the Duke Energy Center. Cincinnati is within driving distance for many members. The Cincinnati Airport is about 13 miles from the hotel.

See the Reds Play the Cards!
On Friday, June 29, the Cincinnati Reds will be playing the World Series Champions St. Louis Cardinals. The UWUA is securing discounted tickets for the game. Orders for tickets must be place by May 20. Download the order form.
Lodging: The Millennium Hotel Cincinnati has agreed to block out a sufficient number of rooms to accommodate all the delegates, alternate delegates, and guests of the Utility Workers Union of America, at the following daily rates:
* Millennium Single or Double Occupancy Room: $ 110.00
* Millennium Triple or Quadruple Occupancy Room: $ 110.00
You can make reservations in a number of ways:
By Telephone: Call the hotel toll free at (800) 876-2100, or locally at (513) 352-2100, and identify yourself as a member of the Utility Workers Union of America.
By Fax: Download the Fax Guest Reservation Request Form and fax it to (513) 357-8688.
By Internet: Visit the Millennium Hotel Cincinnati Web site, and use the Group Code DE00127520 where prompted.
Make the necessary reservations for your delegation as soon as possible. The cutoff date has been extended to June, 6, 2007.
If you have difficulties in making reservations, please immediately contact the UWUA at (202) 974-8200.
Reservations must be secured by a valid major credit card or other deposit satisfactory to the hotel. Deposits must reach the hotel no later than seven days before the first meeting date. Each reservation for which the required deposit has been received is guaranteed for arrival until 6:00 p.m. on the scheduled arrival date, unless arrangements for a late arrival are made to the hotel. Deposits are refundable to the Group Guest if notice of cancellation is received by the hotel no later than 72 hours before the scheduled arrival date. Check-in time is 4:00 p.m. on the first date reserved. Checkout time is 12:00 p.m. A late-departure charge may apply for any room occupied after the checkout time. Ask about pre-registration to expedite or avoid slow or long check-in lines.
Airport Transportation: You can arrange transportation to and from the airport through Executive Transportation at a convention discount of $24 round trip per person. Groups can arrange for lower rates. Reservations can be made by calling toll free at (800) 990-8841 or locally at (859) 261-8841.
Flights: Group discounts for flights can be arranged through various airlines, although you may be able to get cheaper flights through online discounts with the same airline or various other discount companies. Just do a Google search online for "Cincinnati discount airfare" and you will get many results. You should book flights 15-30 days or more prior to the Convention for best flight availability and price. Some airlines have cheaper flights into Dayton, Ohio. The drive from Dayton to Cincinnati is approximately one hour (40 to 50 miles).

Car Rentals: Car rentals can be arranged at discounts through online web sites, or you can use the UWUA Corporate Discount through Thrifty Car Rental at any location throughout the United States at any time of the year. Call 1-800-Thrifty (800-847-4389). The UWUA Corporate Discount ID Number is 0010222042, but you should compare pricing online. You can sometimes get a better deal by renting a car through the online company with which you arrange your flight.
Enterprise Rent-a-Car has a desk at the Millennium if you want to rent a car for a day, but it is recommended to have a reservation in advance so it doesn't take an hour or longer to wait for a car. You can compare prices by calling Enterprise at the airport at (859) 689-6200 or the Enterprise desk at the hotel at (513) 651-0555.
