PENSACOLA CALL CENTER WORKERS ORGANIZE 50!

 Kim Warren, the president of Local 640 reports that she and her committee in Pensacola, Florida (a right to work for less state) doubled their membership in a single afternoon by organizing an amazing show of union power at a union-organized picnic.
This incredible feat takes place at a critical time, the run-up to negotiations in November. Warren who is based in Alton, Illinois, is clearly on a roll as she establishes the American Water call centers in both Alton and Pensacola as key part of the Utility Workers.
These workers (overwhelmingly women) have clearly sent a message to American Water "We are Union and we intend to stay that way!" |
